God: Creator and Ruler
We believe in one God, the eternal Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three co-equal personalities: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one, perfect in power, wisdom, and love, actively involved in all creation and central to the beliefs of Midway Church Family.
The Divine Word
The Bible is God’s living Word to humanity. Penned by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, it stands as the supreme, infallible source of truth for Christian beliefs and daily living. Inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error, guiding all followers of Jesus Christ in the Midway Church Family.
Salvation through Christ alone
Salvation is God’s gracious gift, freely offered but requiring acceptance. We can never earn forgiveness or bridge the gap caused by sin through self-improvement or good deeds. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ – God’s perfect offer of forgiveness, through His death, burial, and resurrection – can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. Turning from a self-ruled life to Jesus in faith brings new life and salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Salvation comes only through the work on the cross of Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection.
